AFP-Peptizyde
AFP-Peptizyde is an enzyme that has no fruit based enzymes added to it. There are three different proteolytic enzymes that have been added instead. Each one has different peptide bonds that it can break and when combined together it means that they very easily break down hydrolyzing proteins into smaller components. These enzymes only work on food proteins and do not break down carbohydrates, fats or other compounds. They also do not interfere with other supplements and medications as well. AFP-Peptizyde can be used with other enzyme products too. It is a supplement that is similar to Peptizyde since it does have enzymes that help with protein hydrolysis. It is a recommended supplement to take for people with high protein diets and training athletes. 1 capsule with a meal can be taken with water, however a higher does can be consumed when the meals are larger.
AFP-Peptizyde is as effective as other enzyme preparations in assisting with the digestion of protein, but because it has no bromelain or papain, it will not cause problems for people who are allergic to pineapple or latex. In addition to helping people who have trouble digesting certain proteins, this supplement is also good for people who are involved in intense athletic training or those who are adhering to high-protein diets.
The ingredients of AFP-Peptizyde include peptidase, DPP IV, and proteases 4.5 and 6.0. Peptidase is a naturally-occurring enzyme in the body that aids in the digestion of protein. Peptidase is an important enzyme in the body because it breaks apart the amino acid chains of proteins. This is important because protein that enters the body is useless for providing nutrition unless it is broken down. DPP IV, or dipeptidyl peptidase-4, is another enzyme that the body needs, and it is activated in immune function and in the metabolism of glucose. Protease 4.5 and protease 6.0 are important component of the digestive system because they help to separate the bonds of peptides in proteins.
AFP-Peptizyde has the following ingredients in it:
- Peptidase – DPP IV source – 50,000 HUT
- DPP IV activity – 1,200 DPPU
- Protease 4.5 – 25,000 HUT
- Protease 6.0 – 25,000 HUT
- It also includes rice bran, cellulose/MCT oil, vegetable cellulose and/or water.
AFP-Peptizyde contains no glutens, casein, soy, MSG, salicylates, sugars or artificial colors added. The dosage recommendations are 1-2 capsules per meal but it’s also ok to experiment with dosage.
The ingredients in AFP-Peptizyde are specially formulated to only work on proteins consumed, rather than other compounds including other components of the food to be digested. This means that these enzymes do not cause a problem for those who are taking medications or other supplements, because the enzymes do not interfere with the body’s absorption and use of these substances. In addition, this enzyme supplement’s exclusive function regarding digesting protein means there is less likelihood that those who take it will develop an intolerance, because there are no additional enzymes or substances added other than the ones that are needed to aid protein metabolism.
AFP-Peptizyde can work even if the stomach is in an overly acidic condition. These enzymes are formulated to survive stomachs that have a low pH, and are able to hydrolyze the proteins casein and gluten before they become a problem in the small intestine.
A number of people who have been following what is known as the gluten-free, casein-free diet can benefit greatly from this supplement, and are finding that they no longer need to be as strict with their diets after taking AFP-Peptizyde. Others have found because they are better able to assimilate their food and gain more nutrition through their diets alone, they have less need for taking additional supplements including vitamins and minerals.
