Peptizyde combines together three different proteolytic enzymes that have been isolated from different plant sources. Each one of the enzymes has a different peptide bond that it breaks down. When combining these together the enzymes work more efficiently together to break down hydrolyzing proteins. These enzymes only work on food proteins and do not have an effect on carbohydrates, fats and other compounds. Peptizyde also will not cause problems with other enzymes or medications that are taken. Peptizyde is different than other enzyme products available since it only contains the enzymes that are needed for protein hydrolysis. Some foods like dairy and wheat may be able to be consumed again when Peptizyde is taken. Peptizyde can be taken by people with high protein diets and training athletes.
Peptizyde contains the following ingredients:
- Peptidase – source of DPP IV – 62,500 HUT
- DPP IV – 1,200 DPPU
- Protease – 25,000 HUT
- Papain – sulfite free – 2,000,000 FCCPU
- It does contain rice bran filler or cellulose filler – 35 milligrams – this is gluten free though.
The Peptizyde capsules are made of a vegetable cellulose and water. However, it does not contain any gluten, casein, soy, MSG, salicylates, sugar or artificial colors. There is no upper limit to enzyme dosing and there has been no toxicity found when uses dosages of 2000 milligrams per kilogram of body weight per day, for a maximum of 90 days. Typically 1 to 3 capsules per meal is enough to receive the maximum benefits.
